A Space to Pause and Reconnect
Welcome
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of positive change. Sometimes we know something needs to change, but we're not quite sure how to move forward.
I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgmental space for adults who may be feeling stuck, struggling with relationships, navigating grief or loss, experiencing low confidence, trauma or difficult life experiences, or working through addiction and recovery.
With over 20 years' experience working closely with people through life's challenges, I bring warmth, understanding and a genuine belief that people often have the answers within themselves. My role is to help you make sense of what's happening, recognize patterns, and when needed, compassionately challenge you to see things differently, so that you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My Specialities
Anxiety & Overwhelm
Anxiety and overwhelm can affect us in different ways. You may find yourself constantly worrying, overthinking situations, struggling to switch off, or feeling overwhelmed by thoughts and emotions. Sometimes anxiety can be difficult to explain, especially when everything may appear fine on the outside.
Therapy can provide a space to slow things down and explore what may be contributing to these feelings. Together, we can begin to understand your thoughts, emotions and patterns, and consider ways of managing them more effectively.
My approach is tailored to you as an individual. I believe that understanding ourselves more deeply can often help us feel more in control and less overwhelmed. Whether you are experiencing ongoing anxiety or struggling with a particular period of uncertainty or change, therapy can offer the opportunity to pause, gain perspective and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Grief, Loss & Life Transitions
Grief & Loss can take many forms. While bereavement is perhaps the loss we most commonly associate with grief, we can also experience it following the end of a relationship, changes in family circumstances, children leaving home, career changes, or the loss of a life or identity we once imagined for ourselves. These experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or simply stuck.
Therapy can provide a safe and confidential space to acknowledge what you are going through and explore the emotions that come with it. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Sometimes having someone genuinely listen and help to make sense of your experience can be an important first step.
My role is to support you through the process while helping you find your own understanding, strength and direction as you move forward.
Relationships
Relationships can have a significant impact on how we feel about ourselves. Difficulties communicating, setting boundaries, expressing our needs or understanding our patterns can leave us feeling frustrated, unheard or unsure what to do next. Perhaps you find yourself repeatedly experiencing similar difficulties in relationships, struggle to make decisions, put others' needs before your own, or have lost confidence in yourself along the way.
Therapy offers an opportunity to step back and look at what is really happening. I believe we often have more insight and answers within ourselves than we realize, but sometimes we need support to see things clearly and the confidence to act on what we discover.
Together we can explore your patterns, understand where they may come from and help you make choices that feel right for you.

Hi I'm Emma
I offer a warm, person-centred and non-judgemental space for adults navigating life's difficulties. My approach draws on humanistic and person-centred principles, alongside CBT and motivational interviewing — always compassionately challenging when needed, but rooted in empathy, authenticity and acceptance.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I bring many years of direct experience supporting people through crisis and traumatic events, which gives me a grounded, calm presence when working with difficult or overwhelming experiences.
I am a pre-accredited therapist and a member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP).
If you're ready to take a first step, I'd be glad to hear from you.
